I worked collaboratively with other people by having my job (technical support) and learning what the requirements are for the others were so I could assist them. An example of this would be when helping out the ED1 media, the lighting crew had issues with power going to the lighting deck meaning we didn't have all the lights available to us. This meant we had to use our initiative and find solutions from things we had around us such as redheads and LED panels. I decided to use one of the red heads and to put a filter over the top so that it didn't appear too bright. We also had to position the light to give the scene harsh shadows as the film was in the style of film noir with utilises shadows and contours of objects.
Another problem I solved would be on the performing arts film they wanted to have the effect of making one of the two people in a scene appear to have more power and strength and they didn't know how to show that visually. I decided to give clear indication by having the camera look up-to the person in charge and down on the other person within the scene . This gave clear indication to the audience of who is more powerful within the scene and also added some depth to the characters rather than them being a basic two dimensional character.
The role I undertook during the little women filming as mainly to man the crew with anything the group wanted. This started off with just camera then started to move further into directing. I began quite naively by not taking charge of the whole of the camera but rather just consulting. This wasnt the worst decision in the world but I definatley could've taken the camera work on alot more at the start of the filming
